What happens if you drink a gallon of water

I woke up feeling better on day 3. I felt like I had more energy in the morning when I woke up. My persistent headaches took a nice week-long break. Even my digestion was better right away.

I'm human, so I had to get in a nice ice cream treat over the weekend with my family. But overall, drinking a gallon of water a day made me feel great. While working from home, I could do this all the time. You pee a lot when you drink ounces of water in a day.

I peed anywhere from 12 to 16 times a day. One day I peed 18 times. If you attempt this, just know, you will be peeing every 30 minutes, basically. That wasn't an issue for me because I work from home. Having to pee while stuck on the train or subway is miserable. Which, again, was all the time. The negatives had nothing to do with my health—I haven't felt better in years. They were entirely logistical, and I have never been more familiar with saying, "Is there a bathroom there?

Like I said earlier, I peed 18 times in one day. It annoyed me and it certainly annoyed my family how often I was going. There isn't much to do or many places to go in a pandemic, but if I wanted to run errands, I had to know the store had a bathroom and that it was one I'd pee in.

For example, there were times I was really in the zone at work, but my bladder was screaming at me to get up and pee, which interrupted my focus. I was initially worried that this urge to pee would sabotage my workouts and my sleep, but thankfully, I was always too focused on the workout to even realize I had to pee, and while I woke up a few times in the beginning to go to the bathroom, my body eventually adjusted, and I slept through the night.

When it came to life outside exercise and work, I felt a little self-conscious constantly excusing myself to go to the bathroom during dinners and drinks with friends, but most of them knew that I had committed myself to drinking a gallon of water a day anyway, so they understood.

Usually in the hour or two after eating lunch, I get hungry again. So I turn to the office vending machine for a solution. But because water takes up space in your stomach and made me feel full or generally less hungry, the result?

For the most part, I stopped ravenously munching on everything I could get my hands on between lunch and dinner. Overall, I started to become more in tune with how my body worked and was able to really listen to what it was telling me. I became aware of the times of day where I felt more hungry and was able to figure out why that might be.
